1. Singing With Jess and Jessica Thomas are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Jessica Thomas is the ‘controller’ of your data. 

 

2. The type of personal information we collect

I hold personal contact information, including Personal identifiers, contacts and characteristics (for example, name and contact details). As well as this I hold information regarding each student’s vocal education (eg. progress, exam results, singing history and goals).

 

3. How we get the personal information and why we have it

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for the following reasons - to register for lessons, to receive lesson details, exam information and general updates.

 

This information is also used for record keeping, sending out information regarding my services such as performances and for holiday information.

 

Some information will be shared with examination boards if you wish to be entered for exams.

 

No other data will be shared unless there is a legal obligation to do so.

 

4. Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

(a) Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting info@singingwithjess.com

(b) We have a contractual obligation.

(c) We have a legal obligation.

5. How we store your personal information

Your information is securely stored in password-secure electronic files.

We keep your registered contact details for the duration of your time with Singing With Jess and for 6 months afterwards.

We will then dispose your information by deleting all records from our files.

 

6. Your data protection rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

(a) Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.

(b) Your right to erasure - You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.

(c) Your right to object to processing - You have the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
